Please write a ficlet based on the quote, "After all, tomorrow is another day." ~ "Gone With the Wind"

It can either include the quote or simply be inspired by it, but it must be at least 200 words long. In your email, be sure to answer the following:

FOR CANON MUSES:

1. Your Mun Journal
2. Your Muse Journal where the prompt answer can be found
3. A thorough description of your muse's canon. (Not all mods are familiar with all fandoms)
4. Your Email that you wish to use as your contact
5. Your "name" that you wish to be referred to in the community

FOR ORIGINAL CHARACTERS:

1. Your Mun Journal

3. A thorough description of your muse's canon. NOTE: Any OC found to be of the Mary Sue or Gary Stu variety will not be allowed in the comm, so please be descriptive in explaining your OC and the universe that he or she is from.

Prior to acceptance, the muse journal will be checked to see that the muse name and fandom are listed, as well as a small note stating that it is part of the quotable_muse community. A standard disclaimer will be required for all canon characters.

Please send the application email to quotable.mods at gmail dot com. We will let you know through email within four days whether or not the muse is yours. Please write "QM Application" in your subject title. Do not press the click to join button. The mods will send an invitation to you through email if you have been accepted. If you simply wish to watch the community, click the "friend" button instead.

It is with great sadness that the mods are being forced to close down Quotable Muse after almost three years.

Thank you for your participation in the community! If you are looking for other good communities out there, we recommend trying one of the following:

Theatrical Muse - The original prompt community.
Realm of the Muse - A variety of prompts available with moderated membership.

QM Mods

With the shift of the community to a once-monthly activity check, the mods have decided in deference to both that and their own schedules, to reduce the frequency of prompt posting. Starting with February 2009 and going forward, QM will post a new set of 4-5 quotes, all taken from the same film, during the first week of each month, its posting coinciding with the activity check.

Members may write responses to as many of the posted quotes as they like, but are still required to reply to one during each calendar month to maintain active status.

If you have any questions, please e-mail the mods at quotable dot mods at gmail dot com.

With the closure of the prompt writing community, original_muses, we have made a decision to hopefully help out any muses that might be left in the cold, so to speak, and without a community.

If you had a muse from original_muses and it is not already taken here at quotable_muse, simply hit "click to join" and we will automatically accept you without an application.

The QM Mods have spoken with the former mod of OM, who was kind enough to point muns towards our community since the two had been affiliated previously.

We hope that any muses who need a new home can find one here.

Also, we have started a new rule - the mods have decided to change QM into a monthly prompt writing community. Weekly prompts will still be posted, and you may answer as many as you like, but from now on a muse will only be required to reply to ONE prompt per month. There used to be an old community known as "Straying Thread" for fun Meta interactions for pups from all communities. Although it died out, a new one has opened up and the mods here encourage everyone in QM to join:

Please cross-post your answer to both the main community as well as your muse journals and sign your answer with the muse's full name, fandom, and word count.

Thanks to the suggestions we've received from the members of the community, the following changes will be made to (hopefully) let everyone have a little bit more fun!

1. Starting FRIDAY, JULY 27th, you will not be required to answer every prompt. Only ONE out of every TWO prompts will be needed to be answered to stay up-to-date with your muses. You can, however, answer every prompt if you choose to do so. If you have NOT answered the latest prompt, however, and you are not on hiatus, please do so before the end of the day TODAY. The prompt can be found HERE.

2. Also starting FRIDAY, JULY 27th, if you wish to have more than one muse in a fandom, you may! Simply send in your application to quotable.mods @ gmail dot com for any new muses you wish to add to the community.

Hopefully, these changes will help make QM a more creative place to be!

Just wanted to let everyone know what a great job you guys are doing so far!

A few things, in case you'd like to RP/branch out your pups:

A good place to intro your pup (and be able to interact with any muse from any writing comm) is tm_green_room (which actually stands for "The Muse Green Room", and is not affiliated with theatrical_muse). A smaller place to meet new pups is watering_hole.

There are many writing comms out there these days (and we are looking for affiliates!), but ones we would suggest looking into are original_muses for fandom-related OCs and elite_muses for everything else.

If you're looking for a panfandom RPG, there's a smaller one looking to expand called knyghtfall, which takes place in New York City and accepts all muses from all fandoms!

Lastly, although this comm hasn't had much use in the past months, take a look at fangirlingthing. It's a place to fangirl anyone from any comm!

In the meantime, please feel free to recommend others to join here -- we'll be having an "incentive" program pretty soon where extra paid time, userpics, or other LJ gift certificates will be given out if you get someone to join!
